N° 02 — Mechanism

How it
actually works.

CJC-1295 is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), modified with a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) — a lysine-maleimide conjugate that allows the peptide to covalently bind to serum albumin after injection. This albumin binding dramatically extends the circulating half-life from under 30 minutes (for unmodified GHRH analogues) to 6–8 days, enabling once or twice-weekly dosing while maintaining sustained pituitary GH stimulation.
